  Unlike most tropical species, this fish is native to temperate Australian reefs and must be kept in a cooler aquarium environment.

• Nocturnal Shelter

  Requires extensive rocky crevasses and caves to provide protection from bright aquarium lighting; most active during dusk.

• Feeding Response

  Initially shy; live saltwater feeder shrimp may be required to entice a feeding response during the acclimation period.
