Special requirements

• Labyrinth Organ Access

  Requires access to the water surface to breathe atmospheric air. Ensure there is a gap between the water and the lid.

• Solitary Housing or Caution

  While females are more peaceful than males, housing them together (sororities) requires dense cover and careful monitoring for aggression.

• Low Water Flow

  Bettas prefer stagnant or slow-moving water to prevent exhaustion, especially species with flowing fins.
