  In nature, they excavate complex burrows with multiple false entrances. In aquaria, a large upturned flowerpot is a necessary substitute for breeding.

• Intraspecific Aggression Management

  Prone to unpredictable, lethal aggression toward their own kind. Large tanks and group sizes are required to diffuse this behavior.

• Pristine Water Stability

  Susceptible to HLLE (Hole-in-the-head) if water quality slips. Requires high-efficiency filtration and massive weekly water changes (50-70%).

• Dietary Carotene

  Requires a varied diet including vegetable matter (Spirulina/Spinach) and high-quality meaty foods to maintain its signature trailing threadfin color.
