Special requirements

• Chemical Sensitivity

  Highly sensitive to ammonia, nitrates, and heavy metals like copper; regular water changes are vital to maintain high water quality.

• Established Environment

  Should only be added to a well-established, mature aquarium to avoid the stress of shifting water chemistry.

• Fully Aquatic

  Unlike many crab species, these are entirely underwater dwellers and do not require a land area or haul-out spot.
