  Requires a sand bottom for burrowing alongside plenty of loose coral rubble and rockwork hiding places.

  A tight-fitting lid is mandatory, as this species is known to attempt jumping out of small aquarium openings.

• Conspecific Aggression

  While peaceful toward other fish, they can be territorial and aggressive toward their own kind unless they are a mated pair.
