• Natural Algae Grazing

  Requires a well-established aquarium with significant natural microalgae growth to support its constant grazing behavior.

• Conspecific/Shape Aggression

  Generally peaceful but may become territorial toward tankmates that are similar in shape or appearance to itself; best kept singly.

• SPS and Clam Caution

  Known to occasionally nip at the mantles of clams and small-polyped stony (SPS) corals, so monitoring is required in reef settings.
