Special requirements

• Water Stability

  Requires an established aquarium with a mature substrate; they are more sensitive to water parameter fluctuations than other shrimp species.

• Hatchling Protection

  If breeding, hatchlings should be moved to a separate aquarium or kept in a species-only tank as most tank mates will consume the young.

• Acidic Preference

  Prefers slightly acidic water conditions for optimal health and shell development.
