Special requirements

• Water Softening

  Prefers slightly acidic water; use of Indian almond leaves or driftwood is recommended to naturally release tannins and soften the water.

• Established Environment

  Requires a mature substrate and a well-established aquarium with sufficient biofilm and algae growth.

• Breeding Safety

  If breeding, hatchlings should be moved to a separate aquarium as most tank mates will consume the young shrimp.
