Special requirements

• Pristine Water Quality

  Highly susceptible to deteriorating water quality and HLLE (Head and Lateral Line Erosion). Requires over-filtration and massive 50-70% weekly water changes.

• Habitat Generalist

  Very adaptable to various water conditions and even brackish environments, but requires a biologically mature aquarium before introduction.

• Territorial Behavior

  Males are highly territorial, especially during spawning. Provide plenty of visual breaks like driftwood and rocks to manage aggression.
