Special requirements

• Red Sea Endemic

  Orchid Dottybacks are found naturally only in the Red Sea, often in colonies near ledges.

• Pest Control

  Ideal for reef aquariums as they naturally prey on pests such as small mantis shrimp and bristleworms.

• Simultaneous Introduction

  If maintaining more than one Pseudochromis together, they must be added to the aquarium at the same time to prevent extreme territoriality.

• Acclimation Hiding Places

  Requires numerous hiding places initially; once acclimated, they tend to swim in the open but will defend their preferred spots.
