Special requirements

• Veil Fin Management

  Possesses elongated, delicate fins that extend past the body length; requires an environment free of sharp decor and fin-nipping tank mates to prevent damage.

• Spawning Infrastructure

  Requires an angled flat surface (approx. 30°), such as slate, a large leaf, or a flowerpot, placed in an area of moderate water flow for egg-laying.

• Social Dynamics

  To encourage natural pairing and reduce territorial stress, it is best to house a group of juveniles together until they form pairs.

• Habitat Configuration

  Thrives in well-planted tanks with soft, slightly acidic water but needs ample open swimming room to accommodate its vertical fin span.
