• Shallow Vegetated Habitat

  Native to seasonally flooded grasslands. Provide a tank with very gentle or still water flow and dense plantings to mimic stands of sedge-like plants.

• Identification Note

  May occasionally be traded incorrectly as L. curviceps. True L. flamannellus can be identified by a distinct fiery orange ring around the dark spot on the base of the dorsal fin.
