Special requirements

• Mature Aquarium

  Sensitive to fluctuating organic wastes; must only be introduced to a biologically mature and stable aquarium.

• Blackwater Conditions

  Requires soft, acidic water (pH 4.0-6.5) with dim lighting and dried leaf litter for cover and beneficial tannins.

• Careful Tankmate Selection

  Unsuitable for general community aquariums due to its tiny size. Keep in a species-only setup or exclusively with other diminutive, peaceful fish.
