Special requirements

• SPS Coral Nipping

  While peaceful and reef-safe with soft corals, they may nip at the polyps of SPS corals.

• Spawning Tissue Damage

  They lay eggs on the underside of coral branches, which causes localized tissue recession; however, healthy corals typically regenerate this lost tissue.

• Conspecific Aggression

  Docile toward other species but will fight with members of its own kind in smaller aquarium systems.

• Preferred Habitat

  Thrives best in environments with branching corals, which they utilize for resting and hiding.
