Special requirements

• Copper Sensitivity

  Like all invertebrates, they are highly sensitive to copper. Copper-based medications should never be used in the aquarium.

• Tank Mates Restriction

  Do not house with loaches, puffers, or other larger carnivores that will feed on invertebrates.

• Breeding Setup

  If breeding, hatchlings should be housed in a separate dedicated breeder aquarium equipped with a sponge filter to prevent them from being consumed.

• Water Quality

  Requires an established freshwater setup with good filtration and high water quality.
