Special requirements

• Adult Aggression Management

  While peaceful as juveniles, adults become highly aggressive and territorial. They should be housed with other aggressive semi-aggressive species in tanks with plenty of hiding places.

• Invertebrate Safety

  Despite their aggressive temperament toward other fish, they are reef-safe and will not harm corals or most mobile invertebrates.

• Acropora Association

  In nature, they are frequently found associated with small coral heads and Acropora thickets for protection. Providing similar rockwork or branching structures is ideal.

• Varied Diet

  Requires a diverse diet including meaty items, herbivore preparations, and high-quality flakes to maintain health and coloration.
