Special requirements

• Group Living

  Should be kept in groups of at least 4–6 individuals to maintain natural schooling behavior and reduce stress.

• Soft Substrate

  Prefers fine sand substrate to protect sensitive barbels and support natural foraging behavior.

• Clean Water Conditions

  Requires stable water parameters and regular maintenance due to sensitivity to poor water quality.

• Open Swimming Space

  Unlike many Corydoras, spends time in midwater, so requires open swimming areas in addition to bottom space.
