Special requirements

• Group Living

  Requires clean, stable water and regular maintenance for optimal health.

• Shelter and Cover

  Provide plants, driftwood, or decorations to offer hiding places and mimic natural habitat.

• Varied Diet

  Feed a mix of sinking pellets along with live or frozen foods such as bloodworms and Tubifex.

• Breeding Conditions

  Spawning can be encouraged through cooler water changes, increased oxygenation, and use of spawning mops or plants.
