Special requirements

• Group Living

  Should be kept in groups of at least 4–6 individuals to ensure natural schooling behavior and reduce stress.

• Soft Sandy Substrate

  Fine sand is recommended to protect sensitive barbels during feeding.

• Clean Stable Water

  Requires consistent, well-maintained water conditions and should not be placed in immature tanks.

• Tank Cover and Hiding Spots

  Provide plants, driftwood, or decorations to offer shelter and mimic natural habitat.

• Varied Diet

  Feed a mix of sinking pellets and live or frozen foods such as bloodworms and Tubifex.

• Adequate Space

  Needs a moderately sized aquarium (at least 90 cm length) due to its larger adult size compared to smaller Corydoras species.
