Special requirements

• Group Living

  Should be maintained in a group of at least 4-6 individuals to ensure natural behaviour.

• Fine Sand Substrate

  A soft sand substrate is recommended to prevent damage to sensitive barbels during feeding.

• Stable Water Conditions

  Requires consistently clean and stable water parameters and should not be added to immature aquariums.

• Aquascape Cover

  Provide hiding places such as plants, driftwood, or rocks to reduce stress and mimic natural habitat.

• Varied Omnivorous Diet

  Requires a varied diet of sinking dry foods along with live or frozen foods such as bloodworms or Tubifex.
