  Intolerant to organic pollutants. Requires spotless water with weekly 30-50% water changes and high dissolved oxygen levels.

• Social Grouping

  Loosely gregarious; must be kept in a group of 8 or more to establish a stable dominance hierarchy and prevent nervous behavior.

• Vegetation Note

  Likely to eat most aquatic plants. Hardy species like Anubias or Microsorum are the only types likely to survive.
