• Brackish Water Setup

  Requires a brackish environment for long-term health, though they are often found in freshwater in the trade.

• Live Food Preference

  Often refuses prepared flakes or pellets; requires a diet rich in small live foods like tubifex, bloodworms, and brine shrimp.

• Territorial Behavior

  While peaceful toward different species, they do not tolerate intrusions into their specific territory by other gobies.

• Spawning Trigger

  Addition of freshwater to a brackish system can induce spawning; males will guard fertilized eggs for roughly four days.
