Special requirements

• Copper Sensitivity

  Like most invertebrates, they are highly sensitive to copper-based medications and fertilizers. Ensure all tank additives are invertebrate-safe.

• Breeding Precaution

  To maximize survival of young shrimp, use a sponge filter in the breeding aquarium to prevent hatchlings from being drawn into the filtration system.

• Incompatible Tank Mates

  Should not be housed with loaches, puffers, or larger carnivores that will prey on small invertebrates.
