Special requirements

• Anchored or Floating Plants

  An avid digger that will uproot most rooted plants. Use floating species or those that can be attached to decor, like Anubias or Java Fern.

• Water Quality Sensitivity

  Sensitive to deteriorating water quality. Requires an efficient biological filter and a consistent maintenance schedule.

• Parental Teamwork

  Substrate spawners where both parents defend the site and tend to the eggs. They often swap roles during the 48-72 hour incubation period.
