Special requirements

• Mature Ecosystem

  Requires a well-established aquarium with a mature substrate, plenty of hiding places, and sufficient natural algae growth.

• Water Conditioners

  Prefers slightly acidic water. The addition of Indian almond leaves and driftwood is recommended to release tannins and promote biofilm growth.

• Breeding Isolation

  If breeding, hatchlings must be housed in a separate aquarium to prevent predation by other tank mates.
