Special requirements

• Breeding Substrate

  Requires an angled flat surface for spawning, such as slate, a large leaf, or a flowerpot positioned at approximately 30 degrees in moderate water flow.

• Social Pairing

  To establish a breeding pair, it is recommended to house several angels together until they naturally pair off.

• Aquarium Layout

  Needs a well-planted tank to feel secure, but requires ample open swimming space due to its tall, compressed body and long fins.

• Balanced Nutrition

  Must be provided a diverse diet that includes both vegetable matter and high-protein meaty foods to maintain health and color depth.
